We read every message. Data corrections are typically processed within a week.

What makes a useful correction

If you're reporting a number that doesn't match its federal source, or a county that looks miscategorized, the fastest turnaround happens when you include:

• The URL of the page with the issue
• The specific field that's wrong (e.g., "median household income for Washington County, UT says $52K but Census ACS 2022 shows $68K")
• A source link to the authoritative figure when possible (Census ACS table, BLS data release, BEA county GDP release)

We'll cross-check against the source and update the data. Significant methodology revisions get documented on the methodology page.

What we can't help with

BoomTownIndex publishes information. We don't provide personalized relocation advice, real estate recommendations, investment guidance, or financial planning. For questions specific to your situation — whether to move, what to buy, where to invest — consult a qualified advisor and verify any site data against your own local sources.
